Education and Experience
|1||Technical Academic degree||4 Years|
|2||Non-Technical Academic Degree||5 Years|

AND – A minimum of 15 on-site audit days achieved through a combination of:
- Audit days as an ISO 50001 audit team member (minimum 5 audit days)
- Audit days as an ISO 14001 lead auditor (audit days must be within the last 5 years)
NOTE: Audit days can include audit planning and audit reporting
Management System and Energy Management Experience
- Management system experience is defined as implementing or auditing a management system standard (ISO or equivalent).
- Energy management experience is defined as energy efficiency experience in facilities, projects, or programs.
Through December 31, 2015, candidates applying to this ISO 50001 Lead Auditor certification program who have an existing ISO 50001 Lead Auditor or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor credential meet all of the prerequisites to take the exam.
